On behalf of Strikes For Kids, I invite you, your colleagues, and your family to join us on Monday, July 31, 2023, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the National Bowling Stadium, 300 University Way, Reno, NV 89501. The Strikes For Kids Reno Bowling Classic will be hosted by UNR Basketball standout Jarod Lucas with guest appearances by teammates.
Proceeds from this event will provide a minimum of 300 backpacks filled with school supplies to children throughout the Reno community to ensure a successful start to the 2023-2024 school year.
Event Schedule:
4:30 pm to 5:00 pm- Check-in/registration/sponsorship table set-up
5:00 pm to 7:30 pm- Bowling
6:00 pm to 7:00 pm- Silent Auction/Raffle
Registration Cost:
$210 per lane for up to six (6) bowlers or $400 for two lanes up to 12 bowlers.
What Comes With Registration:
Two and a half hours of bowling, a large pizza per lane, soft drink, an event shirt and a group photo with Jarod.
Children who are not bowling will not count against your guest count. We will have a significant number of activities for the kids to enjoy and have fun such as face painting, balloons, cornhole and more.

Our events are made possible by the support of our incredible sponsors. Every dollar raised from this event will stay in the Reno community. For companies who wish to receive significant community exposure while enjoying a fun team-building exercise, please consider one of the tax-deductible sponsorship-level packages. who we are
Strikes For Kids is a 501c(3) national charitable organization founded in 2012 with a single aim — helping kids around the country. So how do we do it? We’ve organized over 100 bowling, softball, and golf events with extraordinary partners. Over 125 NFL, NBA, MLB and MMA athletes have joined our efforts and spent a unique afternoon with their young fans and families in a rare and memorable experience while supporting a worthy cause. Helping those who need it the most by giving away backpacks, toys, and scholarships during the life-changing and motivational experience.
Strikes For Kids’ events are held nationally with the help of leading sports organizations and communities to reward local student-athletes ranging from the ages 6-13 for their athletic and academic successes. One day at a time, we’re empowering and inspiring the youth to become the leaders of tomorrow.

bike giveaway program
The Strikes For Kids Bike Giveaway Program rewards local student athletes ranging from ages 6-13 years old for their athletic and academic successes. Since we launched the program in 2018 we have awarded more than 250 bikes in communities across the country. These hardworking children are surprised with the bikes by the host athlete in addition to being treated to an evening of pizza and unlimited arcade games.
backpack giveaway program
Launched in 2017, the Strikes For Kids Backpack Giveaway Program has proven to be a way to ease the financial burden school supplies can be on families in specific communities. By partnering with Backpacks USA, a leading backpack and school supplies wholesaler, we’ve provided 2,000 fully stocked backpacks in our first year, followed by 3,500 backpacks in 2018 and 5,000 in 2019. Derailed by the pandemic in 2020, 2021 and 2022, we’re getting ready to give out the most significant number of backpacks in our history in 2023 to students nationwide, ensuring a successful, stress-free start to the school year.
toy giveaway program
The Strikes For Kids Toy Giveaway Program rewards 50-100 local student athletes ranging from ages 6-13 years old for their athletic and academic successes. These children are surprised with the brand new toys by the host athlete in addition to being treated to an evening of pizza and unlimited arcade games.
scholarship giveaway program
The Strikes For Kids Scholarship Program provides scholarships to high school seniors to assist them with the high costs of college tuition, housing, books, etc. Scholarship awarded range between $250-$1,500. Requirements- To qualify for The Strikes For Kids Scholarship Program students must hold a minimum 3.0 GPA, completed 40+ hours of community service and have participated in an extracurricular activity for a minimum of two years. Applicants must also submit a 2,000 word essay on why they want to go to college and how they can apply what they learn in college to help better their community.
